Job Description: Maintenance Person

The Maintenance Person is responsible for performing routine manual tasks to ensure the cleanliness and sanitary condition and appearance of the office, buildings, hallways and driveways and washroom facilities and other custodial tasks necessary for the upkeep of buildings and grounds. They are also responsible for performing minor repairs and seasonal maintenance tasks such as landscaping and snow cleaning as assigned by the maintenance supervisor and/or the site management team.

Typical work activities can be classified into the following categories (but are not limited to these items):

Maintain Cleanliness & Sanitation

· Cleans office, hallways and driveways, bathrooms and any other assigned areas.

· Washes windows and walls with prescribed solutions.

· Empties trash containers and disposes of waste when assigned.

  • Tackle small repairs like fixing doors, replacing light bulbs, and lubricating locks.

General Maintenance

  • Performs minor repairs to doors, hinges and lubricates locks, replacing lightbulbs, and reports major maintenance items to the Site Manager.
  • Cuts grass, trims shrubs, waters plants and performs other related duties on the grounds when assigned.
  • Removes snow from walkways and access doors and/or storage units when needed.

Identify Safety & Security Issues

  • Report any hazards or facility issues to the Site Manager.
  • Stay alert to any unusual activity after hours and report concerns accordingly.

Support Site Teams

  • Work alongside Site staff to prioritize daily and seasonal maintenance tasks.
  • Support in daily site walks.

Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations and delivering a great experience for our customers and team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
