Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Vancouver, BC, for a Director of Compliance. The Director of Compliance will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory compliance standards. Daily responsibilities include developing and implementing compliance policies, monitoring organizational adherence to relevant laws, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance to the leadership team. The role also includes regularly collaborating with legal and financial teams to manage compliance issues effectively and maintain audit readiness. As a leader, the Director will foster a culture of integrity and ethical behavior across the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance
- Proficiency in Legal Compliance and knowledge of relevant legal requirements
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills and ability to conduct detailed risk assessments
- Understanding of Finance principles to ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Leadership experience and proven ability to implement organizational compliance frameworks
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) are a plus
