Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shop Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, hands-on experience with automotive repair, and proficiency with various tools. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your technical skills and mechanical knowledge will be valued and utilized daily. The Shop Technician is responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics to ensure vehicles are serviced efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately and efficiently
  • Use heavy lifting techniques safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
  • Assist in the installation of new parts and components following dealership or manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times during repair activities
  • Collaborate with team members to complete repairs within established timeframes
  • Keep detailed records of work performed for each vehicle serviced

Experience

  • Dealership experience is preferred but not required; relevant automotive repair experience is essential
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair or maintenance
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment used in vehicle servicing
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, often handling vehicle parts or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Prior mechanic experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with automotive systems and repair procedures
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to automotive repair environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.47-$35.20 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
