Job Responsibilities:

Maintain a professional, visible security presenceGreet, assist, and direct the publicProtect clients, staff, buildings, and assetsWork independently and as part of a teamConduct interior/exterior patrols and respond to emergenciesDocument and report incidents, investigate as requiredPerform patient watches and enforce hospital policies/by-lawsManage access control, keys, and parking enforcementSupport monthly safety inspections and other assigned dutiesAdditional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseValid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit TestProof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR-V and Pertussis immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.Steps to get your immunization records:

Immunization Form:KHSC Immunization FormsAbility to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferredMinimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferredAble to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 monthsEnglish proficiency (oral & written) requiredBilingualism (English/French) considered an asset6+ months of customer service experience is considered an assetMust be able to provide certifications in Stay SafeApplicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availabilityAuthorized to legally work in Canada
