Job Responsibilities:

Maintain a smart, visible, and professional security presence.Greet, assist, and direct members of the public.Ensure the safety and security of clients, staff, buildings, and assets.Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Conduct proactive and reactive patrols (interior/exterior).Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as required.Document, report, and investigate security incidents and routine issues.Perform patient watches as needed.Enforce hospital policies, parking/smoking by-laws, and access/key control.Complete monthly safety inspections.Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseValid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit TestProof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR-V immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.How to get hired in Healthcare
Immunization FormKHSC Immunization FormsAbility to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferredMinimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferredMust be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 monthsEnglish proficiency (oral & written) is requiredBilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset6+ months of customer service experience is considered an assetMust be able to provide certifications in Stay SafeApplicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availabilityAuthorized to legally work in Canada

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C

Valid Ontario Security License
