About the roleValidere is expanding its Calgary-based sales team with an Account Executive role. The AE will lead new and existing business generation activity while creating strong relationships with customers. The successful candidate for this role will be self-driven with a commercial mindset and a strong understanding of the Oil & Gas supply chain.
This role is based in the Validere office in downtown Calgary and reports to the Vice President of Business Development.
What you will do- Value-sell Validere solutions in-person through a proven consultative process
- Cultivate and maintain a healthy pipeline and develop your territory
- Effectively prioritize opportunities, accurately forecast sales on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Individual contributor responsible for achieving a quarterly and annual sales quota
- Conduct onsite visits and product presentations.
- Communicate the value propositions of our products through proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Effectively execute Validere's selling process to drive timely delivery of recurring revenue
- Serve as an ambassador for our brand and build rapport with industry c-suite
- Generate leads and conduct customer engagement activities
- Collaborate with sales team to effectively execute ABS strategies
- Represent the company at conferences, trade shows and industry events as required
- Share best practices and learning with colleagues; mentor rising sales employees
- Partner with Marketing & Customer success to maintain and build our brand while identifying and closing cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
- Consistently be a good steward of data management in Validere's CRM
What you bring to the team
- 8+ years experience working effectively with enterprise customers
- Experience in a customer-facing sales, business development or consulting role
- Consultative selling style and uncompromising integrity
- Strong attention to detail and ability to project manage a sales cycle with a successful outcome
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and effectively present Validere's value propositions to C-suite
- Experience partnering and communicating effectively with a remote team
- Experience using hubspot or salesforce and other sales software tools like Outreach
- Understanding of the oil & gas industry with midstream/refinery expertise preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic setting and to work independently while maintaining accountability
- Extremely well organized and professional with the ability to prioritize
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent: engineering or business
- Nice to have, demonstrated success selling complex SaaS solutions to O&G segments
