Brewery Production Operator

The position will include all aspects of brewery production work. It will include operating brew-house (both 5hl brewing system and 20hl brewing system) and cellaring operations, lab testing, waste water treatment and many other exciting tasks. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the brewery by operating, cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining brewhouse and cellar equipment.
  • Operating canning line (CODI), bottling machine, keg washer, tray wrapper and labeling machine.
  • Cellar operations
  • Support the department by operating and conducting quality assurance routine tasks
  • Maintaining data entry and record keeping responsibilities daily
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, cleaning, and housekeeping in all brewery production areas
  • Perform regular inventory management of product
  • Forklift and electric pallet jack operation
  • Loading and unloading goods throughout the shift
  • Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers
  • Proper handling of chemicals
  • Work within compliance with environmental and health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrates a passion for brewing and an interest in beer and how it's created
  • Forklift certification an asset
  • Previous knowledge of the brewing or processing and/or packaging in a brewery is an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • CODI Canning Operations Experience an asset
  • Lab equipment experience an asset
  • Effluent treatment experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Able to stand, sit, walk, bend and twist and work in a fast paced environment
