Akelius is seeking an adaptable and highly organized Human Resources Coordinator to join the Human Resources team. 

The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources team by contributing to a variety of key HR functions across Quebec and Ontario. 
These functions include day-to-day HR operations, recruitment, benefits, reporting, and administrative duties. 

The successful candidate is highly motivated, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with potential to grow into recruitment and process optimization projects in the future.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager,
the Coordinator supports the team by contributing to a variety of key HR functions.

   Recruitment support:

assist in posting open positions on job sitesreview resumes, schedule and/or perform initial phone interviewsassist in scheduling interviewsconduct candidate background checks

   HR administration:

manage employee records and ensure accuracy and compliance with Quebec and Ontario employment lawsprepare and process documentation related to onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle eventsupdate internal documents, spreadsheets, templates, training materials where needed draft letters of employment, any company communications as neededsupport payroll preparation by providing relevant informationcoordinate benefits enrollment, updates, and employee communication

Employee Relations:

act as a point of contact for first level employee inquiries related to benefits administration, HR policies, and procedures

Support HR Operations:

assist in organizing training and development programsmaintain employee records and HRISsupport HRIS process improvementswork closely with HR colleagues to streamline processes and support key projects who you are2-3 years of HR experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related fieldbilingual, ability to speak and write in both English and Frenchfamiliarity with Quebec and Ontario employment legislationproficiency in MS Office Suites, ATS, and HRIS platformsstrong administration, time management, organizational, and multitasking skills with a passion for process optimization ability to handle data with confidentialityability to anticipate potential issues and work to resolve themstrong ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesability to adapt to an evolving environment and handle multiple high-volume priorities friendly, approachable attitude with a strong desire to help othersdetail-oriented and passionate about continuous improvement ability to anticipate potential issues and work to resolve themability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesability to work well independently with limited supervisionpreferredCRHA, CRIA, or CHRP designation is considered as an assetAkelius offerscompetitive benefits with generous employer premium contributionsRRSP with matchannual fitness benefitinternal industry specific education and training how to apply
