Business Development Manager

Infosys Public Services is seeking a Business Development Manager. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance in Calgary, AB or Edmonton, AB or be willing to relocate to the area.
- Engineering Graduate with 11 Years of experience. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 11 years of Information Technology experience.

Position Description:
The primary focus of the Business Development Manager will be to identify, qualify and close new business opportunities with the Alberta Government. The territory will also include Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience with implementation of IT solutions in government and will be very familiar with Government procurement processes. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to offer the customer unique perspectives, have strong two-way communication skills, understand the clients value drivers, and be able to use a consultative sales approach to position the appropriate services, offerings and solutions.
Preferred Qualification
- Minimum of 11 years of business development experience, which must include selling technology related services and solutions to Provincial Government Ministries in Alberta.
- Established senior and intermediate level client relationships with Alberta Ministries.
- Able to demonstrate a high degree of technical knowledge and communicate this knowledge accurately and effectively at all levels. Previous experience in a Technology Lead, Project Manager, Architect or similar technical position be highly regarded.
- Good understanding of IT Projects Life Cycles and technologies like Cloud Migration, AI, Case Management, ERP, CRM, Enterprise Asset Management, DMV, and Health Solutions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Experience selling technology related services and solutions, including offsite and onshore / offshore delivery.
- Previous experience as a Technology Lead, Project Manager, Architect or similar technical position.
