SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Instructor will work online from their preferred location (i.e. home) and will report to Berlitz Canada's Online Department Manager. Students are based in Canada (notwithstanding exceptional cases.) Job applicants must be residents of Canada.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a German Instructor, you will deliver lessons in accordance with Berlitz teaching principles, focusing on the interests and needs of your students.

Additional responsibilities for the Language Instructor include:

· Keeping student records and profile cards up to date

· Participating in your performance evaluation plan

· Integrating learning technology into teaching programs

REQUIREMENTS

As a Language Instructor for Berlitz, you must have exceptional communication skills in the language/s taught. You must be able to speak the required language at a native fluency level. We are seeking interactive and motivated instructors who are comfortable working from home or their own office on a flexible schedule.

Requirements for the Language Instructors include:

· Fluency in the German language

· Eligible to work in Canada

· Bachelor's degree or the equivalent

· Full-time availability

· Teaching experience is a plus

Other requirements:

· Comfortable use of Zoom, Windows or Apple systems (to be tested upon first round of interviews and training sessions)

· Good and reliable internet connection

· Headphones with a built-in microphone (to be used in training and teaching)

. Appropriate environment for online teaching (noise-free, tidy background, etc.)

  • A good command of the English language (trainings are held in English)
