In this role, you will lead the effective implementation of Enbridge risk management framework including risk identification, risk assessment, risk treatment, and risk monitoring/control across the Major and Core Programs Projects Portfolio. This role entails supporting a diversified portfolio or projects (liquid, gas and utilities).
 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the effective implementation of Enbridge's risk management framework completing risk identification, risk assessment, risk response, and risk monitoring/control across the Projects Organization.

  • Manage the risk management of a diversified portfolio of projects by managing risk identification, risk assessment, and risk based decision making to support overall project execution.

  • Coordinate and deliver training session to stakeholders.  Facilitate qualitative and quantitative risk assessments and ensure timely update to the risk register.

  • Establish and manage risk management plans. Provide technical expertise to stakeholders in establishing risk treatment and developing an appropriate control and treatment plan.

  • Monitor risk response progress, shift of risk status, and appropriately escalating risk.

  • Work with the project managers to assists in leading risk-based decision-making.
     

Who You Are:

  • University degree in an engineering or business, project, risk management or related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to lead a team of Project Managers and specialists through the Risk Management process.

  • Experience in project management and oil and gas construction.

  • Practical knowledge and experience with project cost, schedule, and risk management practices.

  • Solid theoretical and practical understanding of statistical methods, probability, reliability, and risk analysis processes and tools.

  • Possess an aptitude for successfully building relationships with employees, internal stakeholders, and service providers.

  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize workload and resolve issues in a timely manner.
     

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • Up to 15% travel may be required.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
