Overview of Role

Westbridge Capital is seeking a Manager with a strong commercial or corporate banking background to support financing activities across our portfolio companies and new investment opportunities. This role will work closely with the Managing Director, Head of Finance, supporting debt financings, lender relationship management, and transaction diligence. The ideal candidate brings solid credit underwriting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage lender-facing processes in a collaborative, execution-focused environment. The role will be based in Saskatoon, SK or Calgary, AB. This is a new position, ideal for a motivated, self started who is excited to join a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financing & Execution Support

  • Support the structuring, execution, and documentation of debt financings for existing portfolio companies and new transactions.
  • Assist in lender discussions and negotiations alongside the Managing Director, Head of Finance.
  • Support refinancing, amendments, and covenant-related initiatives.

Banking & Lender Relationships

  • Assist in maintaining and developing relationships with banks and alternative lenders across Canada and the United States.
  • Act as a key coordinator between portfolio companies, lenders, internal teams, and external advisors.
  • Prepare materials and analysis to support lender outreach and financing discussions.

Credit Analysis, Documentation & Compliance

  • Review and analyze credit agreements, term sheets, and related legal documentation.
  • Review portfolio company compliance and covenant reporting, including borrowing base certificates, financial statements, and covenant calculations.
  • Coordinate the timely submission of compliance reporting to lenders and respond to follow-up inquiries.
  • Track covenant compliance and flag potential issues to senior leadership.

Market & Interest Rate Monitoring

  • Monitor interest rate trends, financing markets, and lender appetite.
  • Prepare analysis and recommendations related to interest rate exposure, refinancing opportunities, and financing alternatives.

Presentations & Materials

  • Build lender-facing presentations, financial summaries, and supporting materials for financing requests.
  • Prepare internal analyses and briefing materials for the Managing Director, Head of Finance.

Transaction & Acquisition Support

  • Support the evaluation and execution of potential acquisition transactions across new platform investments and add-on acquisitions.
  • Assist with transaction execution activities, working alongside senior leadership and the investment team throughout the deal process.
  • Perform financial and credit-oriented analysis, including review of historical performance, cash flow sustainability, leverage capacity, and financing implications.
  • Conduct market and industry research to assess sector dynamics, growth drivers, cyclicality, and key risks.
  • Analyze competitive landscape, customer and supplier concentration, and other business risk factors relevant to financing and underwriting considerations.
  • Assist in identifying and summarizing key diligence findings and transaction risks for review by senior leadership.
  • Support coordination with internal teams and external advisors, including legal counsel, lenders, and third-party diligence providers.
  • Prepare transaction-related analyses, summaries, and presentation materials to support internal review, investment committee discussions, and financing approvals.
  • Assist with post-closing activities related to acquisition financing and integration into existing portfolio company capital structures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial or corporate banking experience.
  • Experience in credit underwriting and sales, including exposure to complex credit structures.
  • Strong familiarity with loan documentation, covenant structures, and compliance reporting.
  • Solid financial and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with financial institutions and stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with lenders in both Canada and the United States is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
