Haliscape Construction is hiring experienced Skid Steer Operators for on call winter snow removal. This position is ideal for operators looking for extra income during the winter months who are reliable, safety focused, and comfortable working independently during snow events.

Our snow removal team services commercial properties throughout HRM including Burnside. When snow events occur, operators are expected to respond promptly to help maintain safe access for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a skid steer safely during snow events
  • Clear commercial parking lots, drive lanes, and access areas
  • Push, pile, and manage snow according to site requirements
  • Apply salt or ice control materials when required
  • Communicate with the foreman and snow removal team
  • Work safely in winter weather, including low visibility conditions

Requirements

  • Proven skid steer operating experience
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to respond to on call snow events with short notice
  • Consistent availability during snow events is required
  • Comfortable working overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in winter conditions
  • Strong focus on safety and equipment care
  • Must have reliable access to a personal vehicle to travel to job sites throughout HRM, as this on call position requires travel at all hours and job sites are not accessible by public transit

Availability and Scheduling

This position is on call 24/7, meaning shifts occur when snow events happen early mornings, daytime, nights, weekends, or holidays. This role is ideal for workers with flexible schedules or part time jobs looking for additional seasonal income.

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
