About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Transportation Safety Administrator to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with Canadian and U.S. transportation safety regulations, supporting driver onboarding, and maintaining accurate safety records. You will work closely with the Safety Manager to uphold company safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driver Onboarding: Coordinate onboarding for new drivers, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Working on a platform to maintain all drivers.
  • Compliance Management: Monitor and maintain driver qualification files, including licenses, medicals, and training records.
  • Hours of Service (HOS): Ensure adherence to Canadian and U.S. HOS regulations; assist with log audits and compliance reporting.
  • ELD Management: Utilize Samsara for electronic logging device (ELD) oversight, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Maintenance Compliance: Work with the Safety Manager to ensure maintenance records are accurate and meet compliance standards.
  • Safety Program Support: Assist in implementing and maintaining safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Incident Reporting: Support accident/incident investigations and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Administrative Duties: Prepare reports, maintain databases, and manage safety-related documentation using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Provide support for additional safety and compliance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in transportation safety or compliance.
  • Minimum 1 year hands-on experience with Samsara ELD platform.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. Hours of Service regulations.
  • Experience managing driver qualification files and compliance documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with IRP, IFTA, and CVOR compliance.
  • Knowledge of DOT and MTO regulations.
  • Experience with safety audits and reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
