Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver with forklift operation experience and proficiency in QuickBooks to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient shipping and receiving processes, and smooth warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management systems, order fulfillment, and logistics, with the ability to operate various types of forklifts and material handling equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that values accuracy, safety, and teamwork.

Duties

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and load/unload equipment
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and staging orders for delivery or distribution
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within QuickBooks and AS400 systems
  • Stock shelves, organize warehouse space, and ensure proper storage of products
  • Operate order pickers and other warehouse equipment to fulfill customer orders efficiently
  • Assist with cycle counts, stock replenishment, and inventory audits
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols during forklift operation and warehouse activities
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflow and improve order fulfillment accuracy

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners in a warehouse environment
  • Mandatory proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software for inventory management and order processing
  • Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, and stock management
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, MRP systems, and E-commerce logistics is preferred
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stock handling and documentation
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts
  • Basic knowledge of packaging materials and techniques for safe shipment of products
  • Prior experience in warehouse distribution or related roles is highly desirable
