Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Polisher to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for refining and finishing metal components to meet high-quality standards, ensuring a polished and professional appearance. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with various fabrication and machining processes. The Metal Polisher plays a critical role in delivering precision-crafted products that meet strict specifications and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Polish, buff, and finish metal surfaces using hand tools and polishing equipment to achieve desired surface quality.
• Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality inspection tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure proper finishing standards.
• Operate fabrication machinery including press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, and CNC laser cutting equipment as needed.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for surface preparation, grinding, and polishing tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members on assembly, fabrication, or machining tasks to support production goals.
• Follow safety procedures related to the use of cranes, forklifts, tooling, and electrical discharge machining equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in metal finishing or polishing within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, stamping presses, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and tooling setup.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other gauging tools.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tolerances.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, sheet metal fabrication, assembly processes, and quality inspection procedures.
