We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Sherwood Park clinic, providing direct patient care, treatment planning, and medical oversight within our hormone therapy and medical wellness programs. You will work alongside a dedicated medical team, leading clinical decision-making, creating individualized treatment plans, and ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based hormone care. This role is ideal for an NP who values autonomy, structure, and practicing at the top of scope in a focused specialty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical assessments and review patient histories, labs, and risk factors
  • Determine clinical appropriateness of care and adjust plans as needed
  • Provide ongoing medical oversight throughout the patient journey
  • Conduct scheduled medical review appointments
  • Address questions, concerns, and clinical considerations
  • Document all encounters clearly and thoroughly in Telus CHR
  • Prescribe and authorize medications within scope
  • Ensure prescriptions are clinically appropriate and compliant
  • Approve and dispatch prescriptions according to clinic protocol
  • Work collaboratively with the medical team to support patient care
  • Provide clinical guidance and direction within the care team
  • Escalate complex or high-risk cases appropriately
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of clinical workflows

Qualifications

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in Alberta
  • Experience or strong interest in hormone therapy, women's health, or medical wellness
  • Confident clinical judgment and strong documentation skills
  • Ability to manage real-time schedules and patient needs efficiently
