Position Overview: Are you a dynamic individual with a passion for sales and are looking for a growth opportunity? As an Assistant Sales Manager at Canada CarMatcher, you will play a critical role in selling vehicles, working with the management team to run the store operations, ensuring the sales process is closely adhered to, handle financing and ensuring customer satisfaction through our process. Your expertise will help us build strong customer relationships, push to exceed sales targets, and provide exceptional service throughout the sales process.
This is a role for a strong self-starter looking to grow their knowledge in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Provide information about available vehicles and their features.
- Create engaging media content in collaboration with the marketing team to draw in new clients and engage current customers
- Conduct test drives with potential buyers.
- Negotiate and finalize sales agreements.
- Evaluate customers' credit applications and financial situations to determine eligibility for subprime or standard financing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lending institutions specializing in subprime and prime financing.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with lenders to secure competitive financing options for customers.
- Guide customers through the financing process, explaining terms, rates, and repayment options in a clear and understandable manner.
- Collect necessary documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements throughout the financing process.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support, addressing any questions or concerns regarding financing terms or agreements.
- Communicate with banks and lenders to maximize the offerings approved by financial institutions.
- Protect the legal and financial welfare of the dealership.
- Increase brand awareness through multiple sources such as customer calls, social media and internet outreach.
- Cold call/text/email at the target level with clients daily
- Perform administrative duties as required
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- 2 - 4 Year Experience in automotive sales, finance or management is required
- Experience working with start-ups, in a start-up or in the start-up industry
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in a sales role in the automotive or related industry
- Experience selling financial & insurance products (GAP, Theft, Maintenance Plans, Etc).
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates with automotive industry experience.
