We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team. The travel industry is exciting, fast-paced and rewarding. The right candidate has the following skills:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administration and reconciliation of Accounts Receivable
  • Data Entry into Accounting software
  • Sending out statements on a weekly basis.
  • Calculation of Commission and payment via ACH and Cheque
  • Bank reports download
  • Add/Update Client's Profile on the system.
  • All banking transactions (Cheque deposits; PAD payment etc)
  • Issue and mail out Commission cheques.
  • Reconciliation of Insurance Provider transactions.
  • Assist in year-end audit of pulling supporting documentation.
  • Answering calls from Agencies and resolving queries.
  • Ability to meet tight month end close deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years office experience in the Accounting Department
  • Accounting Degree or bachelor's degree, majoring in accounting.
  • Ability to multitask and work well with a team.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to create and analyze financial reports.
  • Excellent computer skills including Advance Level Excel and ERP
  • Experience in Trams or Travel accounting software an asset
  • Experience in the travel industry and knowledge of GDS a plus
