We are looking for a Business Development Technical Lead to join our team. Reporting to the Business Development Director, you will join a team of professionals at our Halifax location.

What You'll Do
- Be a Connector: Engage with developers and potential new industrial and large-scale commercial customers exploring opportunities in Nova Scotia, understanding their energy needs and guiding them through the connection process to the electricity grid.
- Provide Strategic Insights: Identify the most efficient and cost-effective approaches for grid connections. Pro-actively prepare information and insights to support new customers.
- Drive Collaboration: Work closely with all levels of government, economic development agencies, and energy industry stakeholders to foster partnerships that accelerate economic growth.
- Influence the Future: Collaborate with internal teams across System Planning, Energy Delivery, Government Relations, and Regulatory to shape energy solutions.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Represent NS Power at industry events, conferences, and forums while staying informed on emerging trends in renewable energy and large-scale industrial sectors.
- Lead with Knowledge: Deliver impactful presentations to senior leadership on market developments and new opportunities.

What You Bring
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical understanding of electrical systems (Nova Scotia experience is a plus) and interconnection processes.
- 5+ years in customer support, energy operations, or technical leadership—preferably in utilities, energy, or industrial sectors.
- Strong analytical skills and experience managing data.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Familiarity with MS Office and CRM tools like Salesforce.
- A growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning.
