Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Coordinator to join our team We are a private clinic that specializes in complex medical cases offering a multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare for our patients. We have two locations in the GTA (Scarborough and Etobicoke) and this role is based at our main location in Scarborough.

Position Summary:

Our Claim Coordinator will be responsible for managing minor injury guidelines files and communicating with patients and adjusters to ensure all claims are monitored and managed efficiently. The role involves strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-moving environment where referrals are time sensitive, high level of organizational skills and a very keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, creating boards, and setting up automations on
  • Entering new patients into Universal, Jane, and for all case managers.
  • Updating patient and adjuster information in Universal
  • Uploading documents to Uploaded to
  • Requesting CNRs
  • Obtaining insurance details
  • Running OCF-23 approval and OCF-18 MIG Ext approval reports and informing the front desk + keeping it updated
  • Sending EHC consent forms
  • Following up on denied OCF-18s with adjusters to seek reapproval (tracking CNRs, etc.)
  • Reviewing IE reports and following up as required
  • Follow up with adjusters via emails or calls.
  • Coordinating with legal and adjusters to obtain IE dates

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in administration
  • A minimum of two years' experience in accidental benefit claims or medical office administration
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of office management and filing systems
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
