Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, with a primary focus on accurate data entry, accounts payable processing, warranty registration, and labor/payroll allocation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in Quickbooks and Excel and gain valuable experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and account reconciliation.

Accounting & Data Entry

  • Enter accounts payable invoices into the accounting system with accuracy and proper coding.
  • Prepare vendor statements for review and help reconcile discrepancies.

Payroll & Job Cost Allocation

  • Review weekly technician timecards for accuracy and completeness.
  • Allocate labor hours to appropriate jobs, work orders, or cost centers.
  • Assist with correcting coding or time entries as needed before payroll processing.
  • Support bi-weekly payroll preparation tasks.

Warranty Registration & Support

  • Submit equipment warranty registrations for installed HVAC equipment through manufacturer portals.
  • Maintain warranty files and documentation for internal records.

Administrative Support - As Required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable, general payroll
  • Experience with Quickbooks preferred
  • Experience with Excel preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently are required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
