*NOTE: This is an AFTERNOON position, full-time hourly, from 1:30pm – 10:00pm, Monday – Friday*

Looking for a qualified afternoon shift Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in SE Calgary. You will work in a shop that repairs and services all makes and models of heavy duty trucks and trailers, as well as some equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain various makes and models of trucks and trailers
  • Perform detailed CVIP inspections
  • Disassemble and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, electrical, etc.
  • Heavy lifting as required
  • Complete all service paperwork as required, via online portal
  • Maintain an organized work space
  • Team player is a must, collaborative work required
  • Valid driver's license a must

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience repairing and maintaining heavy duty trucks and trailers
  • Must have own tools
  • Requires minimal supervision on diagnosing and repairing units
  • Strong troubleshooting background on electrical & engine systems
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and accountability

Assets:

  • Heavy Duty Mechanic certification
  • CVIP license
  • Class 3 license
  • Engine experience (CAT, Cummins, Detroit)
  • Electrical experience
  • ABS & air brake diagnostics experience
  • Hydraulic experience
  • Off highway experience
  • Light duty truck experience
  • FullBay shop software experience

Compensation:

  • Competitive industry standard, based on experience
  • Benefits available after 3 months

This is a full-time hourly position, some overtime may be required with notice.
