Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity across various projects.

Duties

  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on semi truck and trailer
  • Repair and replace components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical wiring.
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all repairs performed.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and improve operational reliability.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during maintenance activities.
  • Support the assembly of new machinery or parts as needed for ongoing projects.

Experience

  • At least 1 year experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance procedures.
  • Skilled in assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools for repair tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
