Duties

  • Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
  • Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales and guest satisfaction through friendly, proactive suggestions
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and presentation
  • Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest happiness
  • Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support smooth restaurant operations
  • Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage seating arrangements during busy hours

Requirements

  • Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in PUB or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs confidently
  • Demonstrated ability in food safety practices, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume service periods
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and accurate bill splitting
  • Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a passion for the food industry is essential
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment
