Junction Craft Beverage Co. (JCBC) is one of Ontario's top craft breweries and beverage producers. Located in the Junction's Stockyards area of west Toronto. Since 2011 the company has been steadily growing and now calls a beautiful former 1930's Art Deco public works building, affectionately known as 'The Destructor', home. JCBC brands and beers can be found across the province in the LCBO and at numerous restaurants, bars throughout the GTA and products made for our partners are sold and shipped across North America.

About The Role:

This important role, reporting directly to the Taproom Manager, is a key function within our organisation and can be broken down into these key responsibilities.

  • Bartender - Serve patrons pints and cans in our cozy, 50 cap taproom. Duties include opening/closing the taproom for your shift, cashing out end of night and cleaning the space before and after your shift.
  • Retail Clerk - Selling cans from our retail fridge to patrons.

This role is permanent and part-time and offers a competitive compensation based on experience, company health benefits and team profit sharing.

  • Work great in a team environment
  • Results-oriented
  • Able to communicate effectively and objection handle on-the-fly
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working on your own
  • Willing to work part time hours/week)
  • Must be available weekends - 8:30pm close unless there's an event
  • Experience in event mgmt/booking a major plus as could lead to a larger role

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Opening/Closing the taproom for patrons
  • Serving pints and cans to patrons
  • Keeping the taproom and bar clean

Qualifications

  • Experience with Square a plus but not required
  • Must be SmartServe certified
  • Taproom/Brewery experience a plus but not required
