Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of beverage preparation, and experience in food and drink service within a fast-paced environment. This role involves creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests while efficiently managing drink orders and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in hospitality, cash handling, and food service operations.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to standard recipes and customer preferences
  • Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry, billing, and cash handling
  • Take customer orders with professionalism and ensure timely delivery of drinks
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
  • Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure compliance with legal regulations
  • Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages
  • Engage with guests to create a positive experience, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly
  • Assist in food service when required, including serving snacks or light menu items
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and alcohol service

Skills

  • Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, particularly in serving or bartending roles
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for cashiering and order management
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Hospitality-oriented attitude with a focus on creating an enjoyable guest experience
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively
