JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for processing customer orders and handling inquiries concerning products ordered, pricing, product availability and schedule information. In addition, the Inside Sales Representative will support the efficient and effective operation of the warehouse and will perform various warehouse tasks including receiving and shipping activities, picking and packing orders to meet customer needs as required. This position requires an expert knowledge of inventory and product applications as well as computer software and telephone based selling approaches.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare quotations, bids, estimates and provide purchasing and negotiating support with customers, mills and manufacturers.

· Receives and processes customer orders, inquiries and/or concerns covering products ordered.

· Provides pricing, product availability and schedule information.

· Suggests alternate products to meet customer needs.

· Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in all sales transactions.

· Responsible for receiving, loading and unloading trailers, picking orders, restocking product and shipping with the use of a hand and mechanical trucks as required.

· Ensures all orders are picked and ready for shipment in a safe and timely manner; reports any exceptions to stakeholders.

· Maintains regular communication with customers/sales staff regarding service/delivery matters.

· Reports any damage to equipment or shipments.

· Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment.

· Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

· Strong product knowledge

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Demonstrates excellent organizational and problem solving skills.

· Strong knowledge of MS software applications including with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Excellent work ethic and ability to work independently

· Effective in a fast paced environment

· Self-motivated, energetic, professional, positive attitude, results oriented

· Mature, punctual and reliable

· Team player

· 2-5 Years of experience in inside sales, preference will be given to direct industry experience.

Candidates with direct industry sales experience may be considered for compensation above the posted range.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
