Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Site Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in construction management software, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
  • Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 to plan, track, and report project progress.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure accurate execution of plans.
  • Manage subcontractors and labor teams, providing clear direction and oversight to maintain productivity.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets safety standards and project specifications.
  • Monitor project budgets and assist with construction estimating to keep projects financially on track.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with OH&H regulations throughout the site.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, architects, engineers, and vendors to facilitate smooth project flow.
  • Prepare progress reports and documentation for project stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience supervising construction projects with a strong background in construction management.
  • Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and other relevant tools.
  • Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership skills with supervising experience overseeing diverse teams of workers and subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures and safety regulations in a construction environment.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Relevant certifications or training in construction management or safety are preferred. This position offers an opportunity to lead dynamic projects within a collaborative team environment dedicated to excellence in construction management.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
