We are looking for an Office Furniture CAD Specifier to join our growing design team. This individual will work along side their colleagues and the sales team to ensure the creative vision of projects are technically sound, compliant with regulations, and accurately documented for successful execution.

The job involves a mix of design, technical documentation, and project coordination.

  • Technical Drawing & Documentation: Creating precise and detailed technical drawings and floor plans using AutoCAD, 2020 and/or CET (Configura Extension Technologies).
  • Product Specification: Selecting and documenting specific furniture, finishes, and architectural products that meet the client's needs and comply with industry standards and building codes.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with account managers, project managers, sales teams, clients, and manufacturers to ensure design concepts are accurately translated into final, installable solutions. Communicate design ideas effectively to sales team and clients.
  • Project Coordination: Assisting with order placement, tracking projects, managing documentation, and ensuring that all drawings and specifications are accurate before materials are ordered and installed.
  • Client Interaction: Communicating with clients and design professionals to understand requirements, present solutions, and address feedback.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience: 2 or more years of experience in the office furniture industry, interior design, or a related drafting position. Familiarity with Federal Government standards is an asset.
  • Prior knowledge and experience working with manufacturers such as: Teknion, Global, and Global Contract is highly valuable.
  • Education: A post-secondary diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant software (AutoCAD, CET, 2020) is essential.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication are key.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
