Position Overview

Business Solutions – Life & Health Reinsurance delivers business value through the management of technology solutions for Munich Re's Life and Health (L&H) reinsurance businesses globally. As a Senior Product Manager for Data & Digital Products, you will lead the strategy, lifecycle management, and delivery of innovative data and digital solutions that support the L&H reinsurance business. You will be responsible for ensuring these products meet business needs, align with enterprise architecture, and deliver measurable value.

Your Role:

  • Own the full lifecycle of data and digital products, including strategy, roadmap, delivery, optimization, and retirement.
  • Develop and drive execution of end-to-end (E2E) product strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into product features and enhancements.
  • Prioritize the product backlog and portfolio in collaboration with business Product Owners.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency for the products under management.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions using agile methodologies.
  • Ensure connectivity and alignment across all sub-teams involved in product delivery.
  • Communicate regulatory impact assessment and changes with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure Product alignment with Munich Re's Global IT regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain the annual product calendar.
  • Provide guidance on financial implications of project plans, risk assessments, and related activities.
  • Resolve issues and ensure smooth execution of all activities associated with the product.
  • Align product roadmaps with business goals, target architecture, and budget planning.
  • Monitor and manage product performance, capacity, SLAs, and incident resolution.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and software licenses.
  • Track and report on product financials including forecasts, budgets, and cost optimization.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8 years of proven experience in product management, specifically in data platforms, analytics, or digital solutions.
  • Experience in financial services or insurance industry is a plus.
  • Proficient in tools for development, test management, and project tracking (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
  • Budget and cost management expertise.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior business leaders.
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies, and project management frameworks.
  • Strong business acumen and client orientation.
