Job Description:

As a Senior Solution Analyst, you will be working under minimal supervision on designing, implementing, and maintaining a complex ecosystem of business systems and applications. You'll play a pivotal role in a diverse team of solution analysts, developers, and business representatives executing the plan, designing, developing, testing, and implementing solutions

What You'll Do

  • Lead the successful completion of medium initiatives or parts of complex initiatives through planning, estimation, and tracking progress of work
  • In collaboration with the delivery team and other stakeholders, lead the analysis, design, and documentation of both system and business requirements for application change implementation while maintaining alignment with Wawanesas' principles
  • Communicate complex system solutions in business and technical terms
  • Lead the elicitation, creation, and review of requirements connected to business processes. Create appropriate artifacts, including user stories for development work, decomposition estimates, and delivery approach
  • Identify integrated systems data and existing implementation dependencies associated with the requirements which could impact the delivery
  • In collaboration with the delivery team and other stakeholders, lead the analysis, design, and documentation of non-functional requirements with a focus on establishing system logging, monitoring, alerting, and maintenance processes that are holistic risk risk-based, and efficient
  • Lead the delivery team and business stakeholders in the development of a cohesive Quality Assurance approach
  • Ensure high-quality delivery through the creation and execution of test cases. Review test cases with the delivery team and stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of a postsecondary degree or diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Five years of practical experience performing an application analysis role, ideally working on the Guidewire platform
  • Guidewire Certification is considered an asset
  • Experience using software development tools, such as JIRA, Confluence Service Management tools, such as Service Now, is considered an asset
  • Knowledge and experience in the Insurance industry is considered asset
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and or large-scale software development is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in fostering teamwork and working with cross-functional internal and external groups to optimize application requirements gathering, solution design quality and performance
  • Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills to recognize and identify issues and take proper action to resolve them
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with leaders colleagues and business users in a clear and concise manner with style fitting for the audience and message
  • Working within the scope of the role demonstrate solid planning and organizing skills with the ability to develop and implement plans by prioritizing and managing multiple plans simultaneously
