Senior Product Manager, Instrumentation

Remote – US-Based (CST or EST strongly preferred)

We're looking for a strategic, technically fluent
Senior Product Manager, Instrumentation
to lead the roadmap, governance, and execution of our digital data collection ecosystem. This role will shape how we collect, structure, validate, and activate data across all digital products, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and privacy compliance.

You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, marketing, legal, and privacy teams to create a world-class instrumentation foundation across web and mobile. This includes ownership of event taxonomy, SDK strategy, tag management, consent systems, and schema governance.

What You'll Do

Tagging, Consent & Data Platforms

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and operational processes for tag management systems (e.g., GTM, Tealium, Adobe Launch), consent management platforms, and CDPs.
  • Define governance, configuration standards, and access controls alongside Data Governance and InfoSec.
  • Align instrumentation with downstream activation, identity, and analytics needs.

Digital Event Instrumentation & SDKs

  • Lead the global event taxonomy and instrumentation framework across all digital experiences.
  • Manage deployment, versioning, and QA for SDKs supporting analytics, attribution, experimentation, and measurement tools.
  • Maintain a full repository of events, payloads, schemas, and documentation.
  • Create scalable intake and prioritization processes for new instrumentation requests.

Data Quality & Compliance

  • Develop automated monitoring, validation, and regression testing for event data health.
  • Ensure alignment with GDPR, CCPA, and evolving privacy requirements across platforms and devices.
  • Adjust instrumentation strategies in response to OS, browser, and regulatory changes.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Translate business needs into detailed instrumentation requirements and roadmaps.
  • Act as the bridge between engineering, analytics, product, and marketing to ensure consistent, reliable data.
  • Manage key vendor relationships across tagging, consent, and CDP tools.
  • Oversee an Instrumentation Analyst.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years
    in product management, analytics engineering, or technical program management focused on digital measurement or instrumentation.
  • Deep knowledge of
    SDK instrumentation
    ,
    tagging systems
    ,
    event payloads
    , and client/server-side tracking.
  • Experience in
    high-volume digital environments
    such as gaming, ticketing, ecommerce, or large-scale consumer applications.
  • Strong hands-on familiarity with tag managers (GTM, Tealium, Segment, Adobe Launch, mParticle) and analytics tools (GA4, Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, etc.).
  • Understanding of CDPs, identity resolution, and data federation.
  • Experience implementing automated QA or schema governance (dbt, Protocols, custom tooling).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members.
  • Must be located in the United States; CST/EST time zones preferred.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
