Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Technician at Magnum Door & Dock Inc.

The candidate will become a member of union local 736.

The Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial doors and dock equipment. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all equipment meets safety standards. The Technician will also provide exceptional customer service and work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction.

On call rotation required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of doors and dock equipment
  • Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical processes
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects
  • Valid driver's license
  • additional technical training or certification is an asset
  • Previous experience in a similar role or the construction industry is a plus
