Tire Technician Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of tires for various vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and customer service skills, ensuring that our clients receive top-notch service while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Duties

  • Perform tire installations, rotations, and repairs using both hand tools and power tools.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of tires to identify wear patterns, damage, and necessary repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and offering recommendations based on their needs.
  • Assist in the sales of tires and related products to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Handle heavy lifting as required when moving tires or equipment.
  • Take payments after services are performed.
  • Use scheduling and payment software and online services.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair preferred.
  • Familiarity with tire maintenance practices and dealership environments is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for tire handling.
  • A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to automotive repair are beneficial but not mandatory.
