Position Overview:
As our Inspection Services Technician, you will play a key role in preparing for and executing Nuclear Services site projects, providing hands-on technical support and ensuring all work is performed safely and in accordance with established procedures. You will carry out and/or oversee non-destructive examination (NDE) activities using techniques such as eddy current, radiography, ultrasound, and other testing methods to identify material or structural flaws in components such as welded metal and concrete.
You will also assist in supervising work groups to complete assigned site tasks efficiently and accurately. This role involves extensive travel (up to 80%) and may include shift work and extended hours to support field projects.

Your Day to Day as our Inspection Services Technician:
- Support the preparation and execution of Nuclear Services site projects through hands-on technical and inspection activities.
- Assemble, test, refurbish, and calibrate inspection equipment before deployment.
- Verify and validate equipment and procedures to ensure readiness and compliance with inspection and safety standards.
- Provide on-site technical support for equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Assist in developing and maintaining procedures, documentation, and site status reports.
- Oversee and mentor trades and junior team members, promoting safe work practices and technical excellence.
- Engage with customers, site inspectors, and vendors to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
- Use computer applications, including MS Office, to support reporting and project coordination.
- This is a hands-on role that requires physical capability to climb, work in confined spaces, and wear required protective equipment while maintaining professionalism and a strong focus on safety and quality.
Required Qualifications:
- A diploma in an electrical, mechanical, or NDE discipline, or equivalent related experience.
- Progressively advanced NDE certification and experience aligned with technician levels:
- Jr. Technician: Certification in progress; 0–2 years of experience.
- Technician I: Level I with fewer than 2 certificates; 2–3 years of experience.
- Technician II: Level I with 2 certificates; 3–5 years of experience.
- Technician III: Level II with fewer than 3 certificates; 5–7 years of experience.
- Technician IV: Level II with 3+ certificates and 7+ years of experience, including supervisory or lead responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of NDT techniques, including setup, standardization, testing, and interpretation of results per applicable standards and specifications.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and respond effectively to short-notice assignments.
- Excellent judgment, professionalism, and a customer-focused mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A positive, resilient attitude and ability to maintain composure under pressure while contributing to a supportive team environment.
Security Clearance:
This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $73,500 and $116,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
