We are currently seeking a strong candidate to join our team in Halifax, NS as a Service Supervisor - Hydraulics, Rigging & Rubber

The Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all rigging, inspection, and crane service operations to ensure safety and efficiency. This role involves coordinating service jobs for technicians, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and training, and maintaining technician equipment and tooling requirements. Hands-on inspections and on-site visits are required, with occasional travel throughout the maritime provinces.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, organize, and coordinate day-to-day operations of the Nova Scotia Rigging Department
  • Train, coach, and mentor Rigging Technicians
  • Lead safety initiatives within the HRR team
  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Source materials needed for upcoming jobs
  • Prepare quotes, process new orders/jobs, and source products in the rigging vertical
  • Support the outside sales team to meet and exceed customer needs
  • Provide excellent and quality customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Some overtime and travel will be required

Qualifications

  • Experience in crane, rigging operation, or safety is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role
  • Customer service and supervisory experience in a related industry
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
  • Outgoing, self-motivated, and results-driven with above-average attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to providing leading-edge customer service
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Prior experience as a supervisor of on-the-road technicians is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset
