Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces in residential, commercial, industrial, and restoration projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction painting techniques, blueprint reading, and the use of hand tools and power tools. The Painter will contribute to high-quality project completion while maintaining safety standards and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
  • Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to determine project requirements.
  • Perform restoration work on existing surfaces to restore or improve appearance and durability.
  • Use rigging and scaffolding safely when working at heights or on elevated surfaces.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
  • Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure proper surface preparation and finishing details.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols throughout all phases of work.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met.

Skills

  • Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting projects.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution.
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, sanders, caulking guns, and power tools including spray guns and drills.
  • Ability to perform rigging tasks safely when working at heights or with scaffolding.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently.
  • Knowledge of restoration techniques for surface repair and finishing.
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Customer service orientation with a professional attitude on job sites. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical skill and craftsmanship while contributing to the transformation of spaces through high-quality painting work.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$32.00 per hour
