Mountainside Painting is the premier painting contractor based in North Vancouver, BC, Canada since 1992. We provide high-end painting services to clients throughout the Lower Mainland and are looking to grow our customer base significantly over the next few years.

We are currently looking for experienced Hi-End painters to join our team. Please don't respond unless you have the knowledge and ability to take work a Hi-end job from start to finish, up to and including a level 5 finish when need be. We are looking for a painter who does not leave brush marks and can provide a smooth uniformed finish throughout a project. The ideal candidate will have a strong skill set in Hi-End interior new construction painting residential re-paints, and ability to lead commercial projects (an asset but not required). If you have 5-15 years of experience under your belt, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for good people who show up to work with a positive attitude and enjoy working in a low-stress, systems-based environment that rewards hard work and quality work.

Responsibilities:

· Prep work including cleaning, sanding, caulking, filling, masking, and priming.

· Hi quality cut and roll and staining for interior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, trim, doors etc...

· Ability to produce high quality finished ceilings and trim using airless spray systems. Air assisted (HVLP) machine experience is an asset but not necessary.

  • Preparing and refinishing cabinets is a strong asset but not required. If you specialize in cabinet painting and this is your focus, please reach out to us.

· Match paint colors to meet project specifications and client's preference.

· Work with site foreman or supervisor and other trades to coordinate painting activities and meet project deadlines.

· Must be able to follow direction from the production manager and foreman. However, we are open-minded and welcome new ideas that can fit into our systems if proven effective.

· Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others arounf you.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and painting equipment.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 5-15 years painting experience working on Hi-End residential houses.

· Working knowledge of all painting skills and prep work skills.

· Can operate equipment required to do the job.

· Can apply and work with a variety of paint types..

· Attention to detail and the ability to cut straight lines and roll proficiently.

· Have the physical ability to work hard and consistently. Must be able to easily lift and pour a 5 gallon bucket of paint and move aqnd work off ladders

· Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures

· Must have a valid drivers license and a vehicle to get to and from work.

Wage:

To be discussed, based on experience. We are fair and believe in paying for superior performance. If you can lead a crew and perform then you will be incentified.
