Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, blueprint reading, and the use of hand tools and power tools. The Painter will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes while maintaining safety standards and excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance both interior and exterior surfaces.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
  • Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other tools
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects
  • Perform restoration work on damaged surfaces, including drywall repairs and surface preparation
  • Utilize rigging techniques for elevated or hard-to-reach areas safely
  • Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently for surface preparation and finishing tasks
  • Collaborate with carpentry teams when necessary for structural or framing adjustments before painting
  • Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and provide excellent customer service

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, or industrial painting
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and scaffolding or rigging equipment
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques including sanding and caulking
  • Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
  • Experience in carpentry or related construction trades is a plus
  • Ability to work safely at heights using rigging equipment when necessary
  • A professional attitude with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.39-$42.67 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
