We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing invoices, processing receivables, ensuring timely collections, and supporting overall financial accuracy. This role plays a critical part in securing revenue and maintaining strong customer relationships.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Prepare and issue invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Track and process accounts receivable transactions to ensure accounts remain current.
  • Verify, post, and reconcile payments; resolve any billing discrepancies.
  • Follow accounts receivable escalation procedures for overdue accounts.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and accurate billing for ongoing projects.
  • Respond to customer inquiries professionally while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Generate periodic financial reports as required.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining financial records.
  • Support process improvements and contribute to a culture of accountability and accuracy.
  • Participate in miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned to support departmental and company objectives

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable.
  • Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and strong computer skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
