POSITION PROFILE:
Our Service Department is looking for a Journeyman/woman Heavy Equipment Technician who values the quality of work they bring to the table, is reliable and ready to tackle all aspects of mechanical repair and maintenance of off-road heavy duty machinery. If you possess a strong work ethic and take pride in your craftsmanship, then this role is for you.

Job Duties but Not Limited To:
- Inspect, repair, and adjust Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, and other heavy off-road equipment
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances
- Diagnose and repair defects in heavy duty equipment
- Perform mechanical repairs on equipment in the shop and road calls when required
- Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Accurate completion of work orders and timecards
- Install and align engines and machinery
- Repair mechanical transmissions, drive-trains, and final drives
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques
- Other mechanical repair work as required
- Other duties as assigned by the Foreman
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Red Seal Journeyman Mechanic considered an asset
- Willing to work overtime
- 3 years' experience as a Heavy Duty Off Road Equipment Mechanic
- Work out of town when required
- Must be able to work independently
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Computer literate and strong communication skills
- Must have steel toed work boots to start
- Must have full set of tooling up to and including ¾"
- Be able to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Test
