Journeyman Millwright/Industrial Mechanic

Job Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial gearboxes, pumps, and various rotating machinery.
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble mechanical components to precise manufacturer specifications.
- Align and balance rotating equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize vibration.
- Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, schematics, and technical drawings related to mechanical equipment.
- Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators) to verify tolerances and alignments.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures during all repair and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate work records, service logs, and report all maintenance activities.
- Assist in training apprentices and less experienced millwrights in best mechanical repair practices.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, hoists, and other lifting equipment safely to move heavy machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures using hands-on diagnosis and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
