Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and team management, with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As the Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a positive and collaborative atmosphere among kitchen staff.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a supportive environment that encourages teamwork.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management and food safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with ordering supplies and managing kitchen inventory effectively.
  • Provide leadership during service hours, ensuring efficient workflow and timely meal delivery.
  • Support bartending duties as needed, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and culinary trends.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead kitchen staff.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service excellence.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.49-$27.13 per hour
