ABOUT THE JOB
Sparta Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Application Engineer to bridge the gap between sales, engineering, and customers. This role is responsible for developing system layouts, preparing technical proposals, and ensuring our recycling solutions meet customer needs. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in the recycling industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Technical Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to develop equipment layouts, and system designs tailored to customer requirements.
· Project Tender Review: Analyze tenders, evaluate technical and commercial requirements, and ensure strategic alignment with Sparta's core solutions and standards.
· Proposal Development: Prepare detailed technical proposals, including drawings, specifications, and project cost estimates.
· Customer Interaction: Collaborate with customers to gather project requirements and provide technical guidance.
· System Design & Layouts: Utilize CAD software to create system layouts that integrate Sparta's machinery and meet customer specifications.
· Project Coordination: Work with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
· Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of Sparta's equipment and capabilities to provide effective solutions.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the sales-to-engineering handoff and propose improvements to streamline processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in an application engineering, sales engineering, or related role in the recycling industry. Ideally in Single-Stream, MSW, C&D, and/or Organics.
· Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for system layouts.
· Strong understanding of machine design, material handling systems, or recycling industry processes.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for various stakeholders.
· Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
· Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
