Position Overview The City of Saint John is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Municipal Engineer- Infrastructure Development with the City’s One Stop Development Shop. The incumbent will review and approve municipal servicing plans, drainage systems, and utility installations for the full range of new development. Additionally, the incumbent will provide client‑focused, quality, cost‑effective professional engineering support and project management related to the construction, operation, and maintenance of water, wastewater, storm drainage and transportation systems and the sustainability of municipal infrastructure. You will be part of a technical team responsible for formulating engineering solutions, providing direction to technical support staff, engineering consultants, developers and contractors while supervising municipal development. Essential Qualifications Demonstrated leadership ability and excellent interpersonal and client‑focused skills. University degree in civil engineering. Experience in a construction, consulting or municipal environment. Professional Engineer license and eligibility for registration with APEGNB. Additional Information Successful applicant may be eligible to participate in a Flexible Time Options Program, which includes the option of working a 4‑ or 5‑day work week, subject to business requirements.
