Life Skills Worker (Full Time)
T'SE KOO HUBA YOH ($24.09/hr. - $26.09/hr.)
The women living at Tse' Koo Huba Yoh are some of the most vulnerable women in our community. You will assist women to develop a profile of the personal skills needed to become self-sufficient; and assist to develop secure independent living skills.
This position will work on the front line with 17 women who are experiencing issues regarding homeless or at risk of homelessness. You report directly to the Program Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12
- First Aid, Food Safe, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Suicide Intervention
- Valid Driver's License – Class 4 required, or willing to attain prior to expiration of probationary period
- Basic computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with high risk clientele
- Knowledge of the Indigenous Culture
- Clear criminal record
Preference will be given to applicants of Canadian Indigenous ancestry. We encourage all candidates to self-identify. Our process is protected by the BC Human Rights Tribunal under Non-Profit Exemption.
