About the Role

We are a busy and growing custom drapery and window coverings workroom seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and design-loving Drapery Design Consultant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with a background or education in Interior Decorating or Design who enjoys working directly with clients and managing projects end-to-end.

You'll act as a key point of contact for our homeowners, trade and designer clients—consulting, quoting, coordinating orders, and ensuring every project is executed with care and precision.

Key Responsibilities

Design Consulting & Sales

  • Consult with homeowners, trade and designer clients on custom drapery and window covering projects
  • Prepare quotes and manage orders from initial inquiry through completion
  • Conduct on-site measurements at client homes (personal vehicle required)
  • Assist clients with product selection, design direction, and customization options

Client & Order Management

  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers navigating our online shop
  • Manage appointment scheduling for measurements and installations
  • Administer orders, place product orders, and resolve quality issues when they arise
  • Coordinate shipping of samples and completed orders to clients

Product, Office & Digital Support

  • Assist with product development and selection for our online shop
  • Maintain organization and tidiness of the studio space
  • Manage Google Docs and Google Sheets

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education or experience in Interior Design or Interior Decorating (strongly preferred)
  • Sales experience or a strong sales mindset, particularly in consultative or design-driven environments
  • Interest in home décor, textiles, and custom window treatments
  • Custom drapery or window coverings knowledge is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to manage quality concerns professionally
  • Comfortable working with clients who have high expectations
  • Office or administrative experience is an asset
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle (required)

Job Details & Benefits

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Pay: $38,000 per year plus commission
  • Expected Hours: 40 per week
