Key Responsibilities

  • Use 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) to create models, renderings, and drawing packages
  • Translate conceptual designs into detailed fabrication drawings and assemblies
  • Produce BOMs and RFQs for procurement and fabrication
  • Interpret architectural, structural, and elevation drawings
  • Incorporate field sketches/notes into updated designs
  • Lead and participate in design reviews with management and clients
  • Generate installation and assembly drawings with critical tolerances
  • Resolve supplier/fabrication issues and update designs as required
  • Maintain revision history and update "as-built" documentation

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related technical diploma
  • 3–5+ years of CAD design experience (fabrication drawings and large assemblies)
  • Proficient with 2D/3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal design, processes, and fabrication techniques
  • Experience applying GD&T in part drawings
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-driven, organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range:
    CA $75,000 – CA $95,000 annually (depending on experience)
