Shift: Night Shift - Sunday evening to Friday morning - 10:00pm to 6:30am**Must be flexible for all shifts**Job Type: Permanent Full-timeProbation Wage: $20.90Probation Completion Wage: $21.34One Year Wage: $22.68Benefits of Working at Mott:Hiring BonusCompetitive compensation packageBenefit package, including health care, dental, vision, life insurance, short term disability, out of country medicalAnnual profit sharing bonusAnnual cost of living adjustmentGroup Pension and RRSP (after 6 months of employment)Safety shoe and safety glasses allowancesCompany events and lunchesKEY Responsibilities:Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (or the "Act") and the regulations; use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that Mott requires to be used or worn; report to the Supervisor the absence or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the worker is aware and which may endanger themselves or another worker; and report to the Supervisor any contravention of the Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which the worker is awareEnsure there are waste and metal scrap containers in each departmentEmpty waste, recycle and metal scrap bins into designated bins dailySweep isles, stairs, and shop floor everydayMop floor when neededUse floor washer where neededClean and dust walls, handrails and machine guards when neededShovel snow and spread salt in front of main and employee doorsChange water bottles in water coolers in plantClean daily the eye wash stations in the plantUse snow blower when neededClean washrooms dailyDo minor repairs when neededDistribute shop supplies throughout plantOrganize and dispose of broken skidsWash outside windows on lower levelSet up and take down of tables and chairs for social and other eventsUse magnetic sweeper in parking lot to pick up screws, nails and other metalEmpty and clean lockers as requestedClean and sanitize employee refrigerators and microwavesBack up for Senior CustodianAsk for help from Lead Hands, and inform the Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisor, or Production Manager when there is a safety concernPerform other duties as required*Skills & Experience:Grade 10 educationMust be organizedAttention to detailFamiliarity with WHMIS/GHSAbility to handle cleaning equipment and toolsPhysically fit for heavy lifting of >35 lbsThe above are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties, responsibilities and requirements of the job described.
